Plan on the rota. Record what happened on the timesheet. Open payroll only after those two agree. Planned hours and worked hours are allowed to differ. None of these files is a payroll service. A person who was scheduled and did not work should not be paid for the planned hours. Write the week starting date in the header so last week and this week do not share a file.
